The Global Analytics Manager is the point of contact for cross-functional business users, driving end-to-end analytics initiatives, using existing and new analytics applications, maximizing the value of our data assets in support of the business.

Business Insights Management:
Be the central point of contact for business users (in global functions and out in the regions) in need of new or improved analytics solutions or new sources of information
Drive end-to-end analytics initiatives, together with business and IT, that maximize the value of our data assess in support of the business
Proactively make suggestions to business users on new or improved processes, reporting and data, based on analytics findings and conclusions
Teach business key users to make optimal use of the different analytical tools included in the portfolio
Explore and roll out new analytics techniques and tools that increase business value and speed of delivery (visualization, predictive modeling)
Make optimal use of Volvo CE analytics tools to maximize business value (BO Webi, QlikView, Lumira, and others)
Build and maintain an in-depth knowledge of the data elements available in the existing analytics landscape
Work with internal (and external) customers to build and document an understanding of the expressed business requirements at a sufficient level of detail
Collaborate with relevant functions and (IT) suppliers in defining the optimum solution to meet the business needs (data warehouse or other backend solution, front-end solution, self-service or not, real-time or not, etc.).
Oversee the implementation (i.e., testing, issues resolution) of new solutions and analyse testing results to ensure the solution meets the needs of the business.
In collaboration with the Information Quality and Master Data functions, proactively guard that data made available in the analytics environment is accurate, congruent and reliable. This includes keeping meta-data for area KPIs and other important data elements accurate and complete.

Thoroughness with helicopter view : ability to first dive deep into the detail to gain full understanding, but also return to the higher level and document and communicate complex findings in a clear way
Business need understanding : Ability to understand a customer's business needs and translate these needs into specific requirements for optimal analytics solutions
Data eagerness: understands how data is turned into information and knowledge and how that knowledge supports and enables key business processes.
Communication for Results : Easily expresses technical and business concepts, ideas, feelings, opinions, and conclusions orally and in writing.

Hands-on experience (or strong interest and learning ability) with a broad range of analytics tools: ad-hoc reporting, visualization, data mining
Knowledge of information management and data warehousing.
Knowledge of one or more Volvo (CE) reporting environments is an asset. Knowledge as a business user is a plus.
Strong general PC skills (Microsoft Office suite, Excel and PowerPoint in particular). Intuitive learner easily adding new PC skills as required.

Required knowledge & experience:
1. Education/Professional Qualifications required for the position :
Bachelor degree or Master degree in information quality/management or in any highly analytical area, or equivalent through experience
Experience of working within Business Intelligence/Analytics processes
Business experience is a clear advantage but not a must
Previous experience with Process Improvement is an asset
2. Additional Important Requirements :
Fluent in written and spoken English
Be a real team player that can also work autonomously
Experience (or at least willingness) to work in geographically diverse cross-functional teams
