In Unilever Connected 4 Growth, we globally rolled out the Category Country Business Teams (CCBT) and Brand Communities, the merging of BD and BB into one Unilever Marketing, and single point accountability in the Supply Chain.
CCBT’s are empowered Category Business Teams, connected to the consumers & customers of the Country. The CCBT lead is a business leader, not ‘just’ a marketing leader.
The role is based in the operating company.
WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE?
To deliver the P&L and activity plans for home care in Belgium & Luxemburg
Full end responsibility for home care: grow brand equity, grow USG/GM/PBO, grow Value Market Share, build innovations, secure- & monitor perfect execution
Lead the CCBT and ensure all resources are available and contributing fully
Champion the consumer needs (insights) and brand passion within the overall business
Develop and implement destination portfolio roadmap including product range & -quality, brand development, value delivery for consumers, pricing & affordability, range.
Development of marketing- & category plans that seizes opportunities on all 6P (proposition, product, promotion, pack, price, place) & 5C (consumer, connect, commerce, content, community).
Translate marketing plans into a volume plans & optimise commercial opportunities. Feed into S&OP cycle and AP processes.
Ensure a single-minded communication message is created for all campaigns in line with the brand building communication plan, consistent with category needs.
Develop & lead implementation of activations based on the brand plan working with creative agencies.
Monitor and review effectiveness of innovation- & renovation programme to learn for future and ensure continued focus on & support of innovations once launched.
Champion competitive behaviour & -mindset throughout the business and translate it into marketing activities to grow brand share.
Work closely together with the CCD team in delivering category promotional plan set-up & -implementation together with trainee & MA.
Coach trainee & marketing assistant manager to deliver great growth plans.
Create opportunities for better ROI of BMI spend to deliver ZBB targets and good management of budgets within agreed targets.
SKILLS YOU SHOULD HAVE
Very good knowledge of French, Dutch and English
Defining the strategic annual plan
Delivering- & monitoring business objectives – proactive solutions to possible performance issues
Leadership – in thought, being articulate and strategic
Marketing professional – 6P and 5C, concept & communication development, Integrated Brand planning and innovation management
Strong passion for understanding market/ consumer needs and making decisions on initiatives.
Coaching, developing & improving performance of your direct reports
Making choices and prioritization across categories / brands
Stakeholder management & strategic influencing
Operational rigor (perfect execution) and decision making in ambiguous circumstances
Project management Skills
Internal and external networking
EXPERIENCE YOU SHOULD HAVE
Holistic business thinking exposure with clear evidence of addressing business challenges and delivery
Marketing experience – ideally must include 5 to 6 years brand management experience
Strong understanding of the Customer Development function, promotional- and channel drivers
