Role Summary

The GP Sales Representative is responsible for reaching sales targets and increasing awareness of GPs of AZ’s brand portfolio with a long term goal of building and maintaining strong relationships with AZ’s customers.

Deliver on plan and achieve sales goals on budget:

  • Drive sales performance and ensure sales targets meet or exceed expectations as defined by the Territory Action Plan (TAP) while managing assigned budget

  • Assess sales performance and market trends within the region and determine appropriate actions to enhance performance in close collaboration with FLSM

  • Successfully promote the benefits of AZ's products, using balanced messages and the appropriate mix of promotional tools

  • Ensure AZ's products are optimally used in line with national/local guidelines and the product license

  • Ensure the administrative management and follow-up of own region

Develop strategy and plans:

  • Identify opportunities and strategies to meet targets and further improve positioning of AZ's products at a local level

  • Accountable for the yearly update of Targeting & Segmentation (T&S) exercise of own region

  • Work with other GP and/or Specialist (SP) Sales Representatives (as appropriate) to coordinate selling efforts and share best practices to enhance sales effectiveness

Create deep stakeholder relationships:

  • Be able to quickly establish and maintain collaborative relationships with GPs

  • Provide customer/competitive insights to FLSM and support the elaboration of optimal customer profiles

Build capability and knowledge in the region:

  • Develop global knowledge on brand, pathology, selling skills and customer to realise sales objectives

  • Accountable for the creation (if applicable)/ organisation/ implementation/ monitoring and follow-up of impactful X-call activities (speaker-led) with key customer segments in full respect of budget and Pharmacode.

Be Compliant:

  • Successfully complete all training requirements, including product examinations

  • Comply with all external regulations and internal policies

  • Report medical queries or eventual adverse events to Medical Team

  • Ensure compliance with the AZ Code of Conduct, Global/local External Interactions Policy and Standards, and Privacy Policy and Standards

Education, Qualifications and Experience

Essential

  • Bachelor Degree in science related fields

  • Language: Fluent in French or Dutch

  • Experience of working within cross-functional teams (Marketing, Medical Affairs)

  • Proven track record as Sales Representative

  • Knowledge of IT Tools (Excel/Word/PowerPoint)

Desirable

  • Experience in applicable Therapy Area

  • Knowledge of English
